The Concept

This piece was initially sketched in Adobe Photoshop, then finalized in Adobe Illustrator. Before moving to Illustrator, I also explored the design in Affinity Designer to experiment with different approaches.

The entire illustration relies on the simple Pen Tool, combined with complex shapes and a minimal color palette. Subtle gradients were carefully applied to achieve natural-looking shadows and highlights throughout the composition.

Inspired By

The inspiration behind this artwork came from a trip to Bagan in 2020, where the ancient temples and traditional motifs left a lasting impression that shaped this illustration.
